Blooming Flowers Quilt
I just finished a cute and trendy wallhanging featuring embroidery designs from OESD’s “Stitch ‘n Bloom” Crafters Collection #20001. The designs begin to bloom stitch-by-stitch and, as they build, truly look like they were sewn by hand using embroidery floss – in a fraction of the time. Blue and green colors combined with a white background create a palette that has an air of clean simplicity. Perfect for hanging on a wall in your favorite little girl’s bedroom, this quilt could even be used as a nap-size or small crib quilt.
I started with the Quilter program in BERNINA Embroidery Software v6 where I planned my layout, then proceeded to create this cheerful quilt. As each step was completed, the work of art began to bud until it finally unfolded into full bloom. The final touch was free-motion quilting with my BERNINA Stitch Regulator to make this blooming quilt a complete arrangement…vase optional.

I think this is the most beautiful quilt I have ever seen.

February 28, 2012 |I love this quilt. I used different embroidery designs and changed the layout so that the big light areas were up and down. And it turned out so beautiful and was so easy.
