Since i could remember i've liked to decorate, put colors together, and rearrange things. my mom could care less about those things as her passions are cooking, healthy living, and exercise. one thing my mom did give me is my ability to create passions that sometimes look like obsessions. :) i tried to learn to quilt when i was in high school and i did a few handful of blocks by hand, as we didn't own a sewing machine. and it wasn't till i was in my mid 20's married and pregnant with my second child that i actually got enough nerve to ask a friend to help me learn to turn on a sewing machine and to teach me how to sew a straight line. and well, i've not looked back since. i've unleashed a passion for learning more about sewing and since that first day of sewing my first stitch i've had over a decade of learning that has lead to having hand embroidery patterns for sale, quilt patterns for sale, i've written a book on adding texture to simple designs to create a big impact, i debuted a fabric line with moda fabrics called simply color, and have a few more lines to follow in the near future. i am blessed to be included in the bernina family, as i believe using a bernina has helped me become a better sewer with the excellent machines they produce, but as well, the support they give through the programs they have in place.
