I made this “Flip Flop” quilt a number of years ago. My son Matthew’s friend Alexis came over to help me make the quilt. We painted her feet and it did take a couple of tries but we were able to put them on the material without too many imperfections.
Hi there! I am Michelle Jensen of Mixi Heart (www.MixiHeart.com). I am a pattern designer and long-arm quilter. Though I was exposed to very little sewing when younger, I have a passion today as if I have been in the sewing world all along. I love to quilt!!!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! I’m so excited to be guest-blogging for We All Sew today because I have something I can’t wait to share. My first embroidery collection, Modern Blossoms, is coming out in just a couple of weeks at Quilt Market! You know that I’m a huge fan of the B 580 and all things BERNINA so naturally I’m very excited.
Doesn’t this look like a fun class? It’s a hands-on event they held at The Sewing Room in Tucson, AZ, for their new B 750 sewing machine owners. They had lots of fun sewing Erika’s Geometric Quilt Block Pillow. Thanks, Mary, for sharing this photo!
Linda C. Teufel documented her recent trip to Guatemala with thousands of gorgeous photographs. Here she tells about some of the beautiful textiles and quilts she saw. So much color! You’ll also want to check out her blog at http://dragonthreadsopenbook.blogspot.com/
Georgia Bonesteel made her first QR quilt for her son Paul at www.bonesteelfilms.com and because her son-in-law was so jealous she did one for his office at CocaCola. The top PR person at CocaCola called about featuring it on their blog!
Melanie McFarland’s niece, Kinsley, used her aunt’s BERNINA 830 sewing machine and 2500DCET serger to make pajama pants and pillowcases. She did a super job – they’re adorable. Way to go, Kinsley!
Ginger Pahos sent me photos of some gorgeous – and super cute! – children’s clothes she made. Don’t you wish you were 4-years old again with a closet full of dresses, jackets, and pants like these? What fun!
