Doesn’t this look like a fun class? It’s a hands-on event they held at The Sewing Room in Tucson, AZ, for their new B 750 sewing machine owners. They had lots of fun sewing Erika’s Geometric Quilt Block Pillow. Thanks, Mary, for sharing this photo!
Linda C. Teufel documented her recent trip to Guatemala with thousands of gorgeous photographs. Here she tells about some of the beautiful textiles and quilts she saw. So much color! You’ll also want to check out her blog at http://dragonthreadsopenbook.blogspot.com/
I recently had a milestone birthday (I’m not saying which one) and when my husband asked me what I wanted as a gift, I didn’t ask for diamonds, an ocean cruise, or a new wardrobe…more than anything, I wanted a sewing-room makeover! So I took myself off to IKEA to see what I could find
Bonnie Kimbrough sent this photo of her super-cute Easter table topper, made from Amanda Murphy’s free tutorial. Bonnie’s new to free-motion quilting; This is a nice project for practicing free-motion stitching skills, as the stitches don’t need to follow any particular line or design. Great job, Bonnie!
This picture of James and Dylan and their grandparents was taken at the Fort Worth Stockyards. The grandparents live in Torino, Italy, so they don’t get to see them very often. I wanted to make them a reminder of their time here in Texas but also something they could pack to take home with them.
As Sewing Celebrity Amanda Murphy of Amanda Murphy Designs has been exploring with her BERNINA 780 E, she has created some of the most beautiful projects. Amanda has even put together videos for each project using her Medallion, Harlequin and Fizz patterns. Enjoy!
