Not Just for Shoes

In the corner of my sewing room, between the doorway and a bookcase, hangs one of my favorite organizers — an over-the-door, clear plastic shoe caddy. (I don’t actually have a door here for the hooks to go over, but the grommets are perfect for hanging the organizer from four nails in the wall.)

The pockets are large enough to hold several pairs of scissors or rotary cutters, boxes and cards of pins and needles, quilting gloves, adhesive spray cans, tape measures, labels, marking tools, seam rippers — and the clear pockets ensure that I won’t forget which pockets hold which items. This is one corner of my sewing room that never gets messy!
