As promised, I put together some fun highlights from QuiltCon 2013 for you. This inaugural event, hosted by the Modern Quilt Guild in Austin, Texas, was a ton of fun. But see for yourself what this impressive exhibition of the best quilts following the new movement had to offer. Plus all the happy faces that were able to attend this great event.
The Modern Quilt Guild’s QuiltCon 2013 is over after an impressive four days of classes, lectures, exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops, give-aways, and more. All of you who followed my QuiltCon journey on Facebook got a sneak peek of the event. Back in Chicago I cannot stop looking at the great quilts on my camera!
Starting tomorrow and ending Sunday, Austin will be the focus of the Modern Quilting world. Why, you ask? QuiltCon! Hosted by the Modern Quilt Guild, QuiltCon features the best modern quilts, lectures, workshops, and demonstrations. Thousands plan to attend from around the world and I am one of them
I’ve stitched together a lot of different projects from garments and wearable art to accessories and stuffed toys – but never really gave quilting a try. In fact, if you had asked me a few years ago if I made quilts my answer would have been, “Quilts? Are you crazy, I am not a quilter!”
