The BERNINA WeAllSew Challenge is Open for Submissions

Today marks the official first day of the WeAllSew Challenge!

Remember, it is easy to enter:

Upload a photo of your finished project along with a brief description to our Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/berninausa) starting today through March 19.

Whether you are a beginner sewer or a master seamstress, starting a project from scratch can be daunting. For your inspiration, check out the before and after pics of the upcycled wedding dress. A special thank you to Amy Alan, the creator of the wedding gown featured in this WeAllSew Challenge. Thank you Amy for bringing this dress to life and showing us the way with your style and skill! You’ll find many more of Amy’s projects in design and cuisine at www.reallyhandmade.com.

  • I read the above comment but I’m still a bit confused. I upcycled clothing and would LOVE to do an upcycled clothing challenge. A friend just sent me to this site and told me about one but this is the only one I’m seeing. I don’t have a wedding dress, do you have any other upcycled clothing contests? Thank you!

    • For the Wedding Dress Challenge you can also use bridesmaids dresses and other formalwear. Thrift stores are a great place to find old formal/wedding garments. If you don’t enter our Wedding Dress Challenge, watch for news on two more Challenges later this year. Have fun stitching! Jo

  • Great, thanks so much! I didn’t know for sure if it was a wedding dress challenge or not, the girl that sent me didn’t think it was lol. I now have an old beautiful flower girls dress I can’t wait to use! I’ve never entered any kind of sewing challenge before and this has inspired me SO much!
    Thank you for the opportunity!
