Free Motion Quilt As You Go: Scrappy House Applique Blocks

The Bernina Stitch Regulator is what sold me on purchasing a new machine.  This summer I’m hosting a House Block Sew Along.  I’m using collage applique with my BSR to free motion stitch charming wonky houses.  This video is a demonstration of my process.  Grab a project or some tea and sew along with me!

The summer quilt-a-long series is a choose your own adventure house quilt.  You can piece your blocks traditionally or improvisationaly.  You can quilt as you go (QAYG) or quilt it when the top is finished.  This free motion applique technique is so simple and fun.  You’ll be enjoying this process in no time!
