Laura’s Sewing Room
Description
The hubby guy and I recently retired and downsized from a house to an apartment. When we moved into the apartment, one bedroom was designated for The Sewing Room. This is my happy space, where my motto is, “A stitch a day keeps the grumpies away.” My beloved Bernina 1130 sits regally in the corner, while across the room the recently acquired 790 (aka Miss B) is teaching me how to embroider. Storage space is tight, so every available space has been put to use. Rulers are organized on the back of the sewing room door with removable hooks and stabilizers are stored on the back of the closet door in a hanging organizer, while over-the-door hooks hold tote bags and other treasures on the inside. Plastic storage boxes full of fabric and supplies are labeled and stacked under tables and from floor to ceiling inside the closet. Currently under our needle is Miss B’s new dust cover.
