Oktober Fest Fun

My family and I were headed to Idahoe for a family biking vacation. We were also going to attend the Oktober Fest in Coeur d’ Alane. I love to create costumes and I wanted us all to wear “authentic ” looking clothing. I embellished our dresses, the vests, and the guys waist belts and straps using the embroidery modular on my Bernina 880 . I had over 40 hours on my machine bc its a long way around the dresses and aprons!! We had just a great time and people thought we were wearing the real German outfits. We had fun
Beautiful dress! Your use of a peasant blouse instead of the usual dirndl is a great idea, as those half blouses are hot and uncomfortable. Your embroidery is lovely. What a treasure you have created. Love the colors.
