Furoshiki Bag

Description

Furoshiki bags are a really fun way to change up your wardrobe in seconds. I use a 36 inch square piece of fabric that has been hemmed, or in this case a 2-sided 36 inch piece of fabric to create something that can be simply tied and used as a purse or even grocery bag. My Breast Cancer Awareness bag can hold 3 gallons of milk! I am very conscious of the need to preserve resources. These bags enable me to avoid the use of plastic at the grocery store and the breast cancer awareness fabric makes a statement reminding all of us the importance of annual wellness exams.  I use a Bernina sewing machine to create these beautiful bags and with the built in embroidery module, I can even personalize them, so they make a great gift!  What is even better is being able to repurpose fabric from something that is no longer worn or useful. No need to discard, when you can repurpose!
