Safari Cloth Book

Description

I used the African Safari Quilt design CD by Anita Goodesign to create this book. The designs are so beautiful it couldn’t help but be a lovely book!
Using the Bernina Embroidery Software, I created patches of the names of the animals, sewing Velcro® on the back. Also, I stitched a matching velcro to the bottom of each page. The child is able to stick the corresponding names on each page. Inside the back cover, I fashioned a pocket to keep all of the names of the animals. I used Velcro to keep it shut.
Most of the animals were made with minky cloth for the tactile experience. My grandchildren, ages 1 and 3, love to feel the book! You can make up all sorts of stories about the animals while paging through the book. The book actually is 16 pages including the front and back.
