Spring Blooms (stash buster UFO) designed by Debby Kratovil

Description

Debby Kratovil designed a paper pieced Hexie pattern called “Spring Blooms” several years ago and I wanted to learn how to make Hexies. I made them in the doctor’s office, the dealership service office and while I watched my favorite sports team.  I carried them in my fishing tackle box sewing kit with me anytime I thought I might have to wait for an appointment.  The fabric started three years ago as Charm Pack bought just because….; the “flower pots” were from leftover scraps; the flower border from a lovely “I have to have this fabric” purchase two years ago; and the bright green from leftover backing.  I think they qualify as stash busters.  So, now this spring grouping is ready to have my wonderful quilter work her magic and put the entire project together into a cheery spring quilt for my bed.
