“Five Hearts of Mine” A Valentine Quilt

Description

Our Son and his family are Our World.  They live in Utah which is a long way from Arkansas.  We try to drive out twice a year or meet somewhere to share family time.  I actually started this quilt about the same time as my very first quilt but put it away so I could get that first quilt done for a wedding gift.  When I created the Valentine’s quilt I had no pattern but let the fabric designs play and happen.  This was a really fun quilt to do as it was bright, happy and full of love for “Justin, Vanessa, Eryn, Gavin and Sisu their Aussie.  I gave them Sisu their beloved Aussie pup.  The border designs are chosen from things that each of them either do, are interested in or show the love my husband and I have for them.  Our Grand Daughter, Eryn very quickly absconded with the quilt for her room. The quilt is reversible as I used quilt as you go.  I love this method as the back can be as pretty as the front.  I did this entire quilt on my first Bernina…what a machine that Artista 730 is!
