My Sewing Haven
Description
About a year ago I got back into sewing after a long hiatus. I had forgotten how calming sewing can be to the heart and mind. Our basement family room had been unused for the most part since our boys had all grown up and moved out. I took my kitchen table sewing operation to the basement. It is so nice to have everything set up, and I can walk away from a project mid stream and close the door. A rather large painting of my beloved grandmother a friend of mine had given me as a gift, hangs on the wall over my space. My sweet Grandma was a huge help and inspiration in my early sewing endeavors. Sewing really does calm the soul. Bernina would be my dream machine.

Thanks Michael! There’s a sense of peace that abounds when sewing. It always makes me feel the love of my grandma and mom who taught me how to sew.

A nice bright space for you to create! It’s sweet that your grandma is watching over you in this space, what a great feeling. 😀
Happy Quilting!
