My Happy Place!

My sewing room is located on the top floor of a 3 story home.  It is perfect for me.  Nice size with plenty of light and space for sewing.  I can remember about 40 years ago when my sewing machine table was also my bedside table, so I do feel very blessed to have such a nice spot now to sew.

After 20 years of not much sewing I have started again to learn all the new ways of doing what I thought I already knew.  I find myself with an interest in quilting, embroidery and the need of sewing doll clothes again, this time for my granddaughters.

The really cool parts of my sewing room are my Grands, they all want to learn to sew even the boys.  I didn’t ask them, they each have come to me and ask if I thought they were old enough to learn on a machine.  The ages are from 7 to 16 years old, 3 boys and 5 girls.  So, very soon we will start our own little sewing class.  I’m so excited.  I don’t really know how to go about it but if anyone has any suggestions I will appreciate the information.  What I do know is, there will be lots of laughs and some really cool memories.

So, yes, thanks for asking me to share my sewing spot with you and thanks for the possibility of an extra machine.  I know we can put it to great use.
