Bed Pillow covers

Description

I have a passion for color, fabric, textures and pattern, however I’m not fast at follow through to finish my projects, yet my brain creates more and more to start.  I have been dragging my feet on finishing a lot of my quilting projects.  This is a push for me to finally get them off my design board and onto my bed.   I drew my pattern onto graph paper and fusible.  Currently, I’m in love with Kaffe Fassett fabrics, so I cut a selection of favorites by color grouping ironing each piece onto my background.  I will add a contrasting border print to each square along with a contrasting back.  You may be asking why they are square?  I will be making covers for the Euro square feather pillows I have on my bed.  The reverse of the covers will have an envelope style closure as I do not want zippers to fuss with.  My partner and I turn in bed at night and do not like having a zipper hit us in the face.   Hahaha. Thinking a little bit ahead here, they will be quilted covers, and will use an echo quilt style to stitch them.  This is my plan for the week ahead.
