FMQ Practice – I mean…. Kennel Quilt!

Description

I was going to be attending a “Sewing Acts of Kindness” event to make kennel quilts for Shelter animals, so I decided to make one on my own first so I knew what I was doing when I got there.  One of the steps was to quilt it however I wanted.  Hmmm.  I have been learning free motion quilting, but I’ve been struggling to work on it since my instructor died last  year.  A kennel quilt would be nice and small.  So I pulled out my quilting gloves, and worked on my “baby bear, mama bear, papa bear”, known to the rest of the world as paisleys.  You can’t really see from the picture, but I was very encouraged by how it turned out.   And then I went to my event where the group of us made 43 kennel quilts!
