Lined Denim Jacket
Description
I enjoy sewing garments, bags and home decor. My latest make is a lined denim jacket. It was mostly sewn with my B435, which makes perfect buttonholes. I used so many different feet for this project: #1, #34, #8 and my all time favorite for perfect edgestitching, #10. I also set up my vintage 1010 for topstitching so that I wouldn’t have to keep changing needle type and thread going from seaming to topstitching. I overlocked all the lining seam allowances to avoid fraying with my Bernette 006D, which has been my faithful serger for 30 years and is still going strong. The jacket is almost finished, just waiting on some colorful snaps to arrive. In the meantime I’m going to start on a blouse because I always have a project in the works!
