Sewing in the dining room

Description

I use a corner of our dining room for my sewing/quilting space.

The little yellow cabinet used to be my grandma’s; she taught me how to sew and I keep everything for my current project tucked away in there. I love having reminders of her everywhere.

I recently hung quilt wall fabric directly over some pictures we had hanging on the wall – hopefully our guests will like the new “art.”

This was going to be a temporary spot, but I actually love it for the following reasons:

  • Old dining room table = no one minds a couple of extra cut marks
  • China cabinet drawers = perfect fabric storage
  • GREAT sunlight
  • Large windows and views of outside (including dying tomato plant)
  • Easy to keep an eye on tiny humans
  • Direct view of the television

Happy sewing to all!
