Sewing up the Scraps

Description

I received my Bernina 1130 from my husband’s mom.  She had always wanted to learn how to sew, so when she retired from AC Spark Plug she bought a beautiful Bernina and signed up for sewing lessons.  She made herself a lot of really nice clothes and then she started making Barbie clothes for her granddaughters dolls. I was amazed at how beautifully her Bernina sewed. I love her Bernina and I always think of her when I am sewing.  Lately I have been making a bunch of blankets and quilts to donate to local rescue centers out of the scraps of past projects. I had a large box of 4″ cotton squares which I randomly sewed together to make quilt tops. I then put them together and quilted them with a walking foot on my Bernina.
