One of my favorite holiday gifts to make this year is a modified make up bag. Several of my non-sewing friends are knitters and are always looking for a bag to stash knitting essentials in. A sewing friend and I modified a pattern to make the bag bigger with a larger zipper. I found some really cut fabric with little sheep and balls of yarn and needles on it and the bags are just adorable and really quick to make.

Hard to pick a favorite, but I’ll say Christmas Stockings. Seems I always have to be doing something last minute, but finishing the embroidered names on the 4 toddler grandchildren’s stockings on Christmas morning was too last minute even for me. My son-in-laws were fascinated by the embroidery machine however. And because I always get confused on which way is up on the Christmas stocking cuff, these four ended up with HUGE Christmas stockings.
