Kennel Quilts

Description

I was pleased to be able to use upcycled fabric, fabric from my stash, charms, and two blocks that were upcycled from an unknown quilter. I doubled the batting for more comfort. I learned how to use a 6 inch lob cabin ruler, and practiced using my walking foot. This project was a perfect way for me to learn new techniques, use up fabric, and create something of comfort for animals in a shelter to hopefully help them get adopted. This was the project that jumped out when I started reading the We All Sew blog. To me animals are the innocents of this world and they deserve every compassion man has to offer them. My kennel quilts will be donated to the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) after I wash them.
