Patty's passion for sewing began when she was a child as she learned from her mother. Patty went on to create most of her wardrobe, and, at age 18, she discovered quilt making with the scraps from a pleated skirt disaster.

Patty loves to work with bright, bold fabrics, exploring color by manipulating value in traditional designs. She enjoy sharing my craft with others and have taught throughout the United States and around the world.

Patty's first book, Piecing Makeover (C&T 2016), is about fine tuning your patchwork and solving common problems. Her second book, The Perfect Piecing Pocket Guide (C&T 2022) is an abbreviated version of her first book. It goes over the basics in small, easy to carry size. Patty's third book, Zero Waste Quilting, was published in November 2024.

Patty is an accomplished quilter with several blue ribbon quilts. She has had quilts juried into Paducah and have a Best of Show Ribbon (East Cobb Quilt Guild 2021). Her work has been featured on magazine covers, in books, and on websites for major fabric manufacturers.

When Patty is not in her studio, she can be found cooking, baking, spending time with friends/family, and traveling. She live in Marietta, Georgia with my husband, two sons, and a dog.
