A Garment Sewer’s Stash Creations

Description

I’m a garment sewer which means that my “stash” contains pieces of fabric considerably larger than fat quarters. For me it also means visiting the remnant table at my favorite fabric store in search of remnants with potential for garments. Three of the garments I’ve created most recently using fabric from my stash are pictured below: 1. A vest – front and back from some great lavender paisley fabric and some batik for trim. I’ve also included in the photo the bits of remnant I had remaining at the completion of the project. 2. A yellow camp shirt – front and back. The floral print remnant was irresistible for a cool summer shirt. 3. A bright splashy print circular skirt. Fun to wear with black, white and bright pink tops and cool black patent sandals.
