July 1, 2015 is the date I purchased my first Bernina. My oldest child headed off to college and I was ready to update my old sewing machine, a hand me down from my mother when I went off to college. I learned to embroider on my 430 and still love to sew on it weekly. Shortly after getting it I dove into embroidering and upgraded to V4 Designer Plus software. It was so much fun creating new designs. As a trained engineer I found it fascinating to create a design using threads and think of the software as AutoCad for sewists. In 2012 I was able to purchase an 830LE and use it mainly for embroidery. In between I ponied up for a 1300 serger to update a 1980 vintage Toyota serger. Congratulations on 125 wonderful years Bernina.
