Marching my muslin fitted patterns and repurposed men’s shirt

Description

Thank you for encouraging completion of UFO and repurposing items. (1) My objective has been to make up my favorite patterns in a muslin, fit the muslin the way I want it and prepare the pattern with all the necessary adjustments. Then, when I want a new top, blouse, jacket, pants, skirt, dress, vest etc, I can reach for the pattern, cut and sew!! I’ve had basic garment muslins cut out and resting on my cutting table for some time. I was down to the final two for several months. They are finished! The photo shows all the constructed muslins hanging, with the adjusted patterns and the envelope – 10 in all. This allows me more time to do lots of creative things without always worrying about the basics. (2) I’ve included a photo of one wearable top along with the starting point (muslin and pattern). (3) The final picture is a “repurposed” men’s shirt – now a wearable top with trim and side insets. Thanks to the versatility of my much loved Bernina machine and beautiful sewing studio, I’m able to focus on being creating.
