Lena Woven Dolman Dress by Sinclair Patterns

I created the Lena Woven Dolman Dress by Sinclair patterns. I used my lovely vintage Bernina 830 (1976!) to sew it using rayon fabric I picked up at Sew Expo (Puyallup, WA) in the early 2000s.

The dress is a dolman sleeve design with ties for the waist. The ties are designed so you can tie them front to back or on the sides, giving a different look for each. Most important, the dress has generous pockets that have plenty of room to securely hold your cell phone and other necessities. The skirt can be made in above the knee, knee, and mid-calf lengths. The sleeves can either be a relaxed dolman with cuffs or a gathered full sleeve with a cuff.

There weren’t any techniques that I’d consider “special” other than the self fabric bias facing for the neckline which isn’t common but turns out great (so I’ll use it on another pattern later on).

Sizing: Women’s 0-30 (bust 32.4-59.6, waist 23.6-52.4, hips 33.9-63) in cup sizes A-B; C-D; & E-F, and heights Petite, Regular, and Tall. I sewed the 16 E-F in Tall.
