Meet Our Snuggly Owl Pinterest Party Winner – Sara Falter

A big “Thank you!” to everyone who participated in our recent Snuggly Owl Pinterest Party! Our winner is Sara Falter: here’s her “Snuggly Owl” story:

I was looking for a fun, quick, and easy sewing project to help make a dent in my overflowing fleece scrap pile. When I saw the BERNINA USA facebook post for the ‘”Snuggly Owl Pinterest Party,” I thought the owl was really cute and knew that it would be a great project to start with. I started with the light green owl, using scraps from several different baby blankets. It was fun matching all the different types of fleece. I’m not even sure how I managed to find coordinating fabrics, but it all worked out in the end. Since it went together so quickly, I decided I should make another one. As I was looking through my fleece scraps again, my husband was watching a Packers game. When I came across the Packers fleece, it was obvious that he needed an owl, too. Unfortunately, he now blames the owl for the Packers recent loss. 😉

Even after making two cute “Snuggly Owls,” I still have a lot of fleece scraps leftover. So, I just might have to make a few more of these cute owls soon. Thanks for the inspiration; this was a really fun project! Sara
