Sewing Rocked at SXSW!
Boy did we have fun at the 2012 SXSW last week!
Music and fashion lovers alike flocked to one of Austin’s most popular events to listen to their favorite bands, scope out a fashion show or two and sew up something fabulous! For two jam-packed days at StyleX, the BERNINA Make & Take booth was buzzing with a wide range of people – from sewing machine virgins to up-and-coming fashion designers. The finished projects ranged from functional iPhone and iPad cases, to fashionably trendy mustaches all sewn on our B 380 model. Download these gadget case instructions here.

One of the many highlights were the nightly fashion shows featuring the clothes and accessories of young designers, all modeled by SXSW musicians. Designs from the three BurdaStyle/BERNINA StyleX Design Challenge winners graced the runway as well.
A special thanks to BurdaStyle and Sew Much More sewing store in Austin. We couldn’t have done it without you! What a wonderful time meeting new faces and helping show attendees create their own mini masterpieces. See you next year!
