My Spring project is a set of 12 placemats from a pattern called Home Grown by Cherry Guidry. They are looking great (still a WIP) and a lot of fun to make. Last year I made the Spring Table Topper featured in this email, except I turned it into a table runner by repeating the pattern three times. It turned out really nice; I get lots of compliments on it. I wish there were a way to post a picture of here.

Just finished organizing my linen closets. I found some vintage table cloths that I purchased years ago from a thrift store shopping trip. The embroidery is so lovely and the linen fabric is beautiful (except for some stains that won’t budge). I forced myself to cut one of them into four placemats (around the stains, but preserving the embroidery), and quilted them. How wonderful they turned out! We are enjoying the embroidery that someone lovingly added to their tablecloth and made our mealtime very special indeed!
