Mimi G.
I started sewing at 12 years old. My aunt was a seamstress and as a child I would spend hours in her studio using her scraps to make Barbie clothes; my dad noticed I was obsessed and bought me my first real sewing machine. Shortly after I got my machine I offered to make my mother a dress for an event she was attending and although the neckline was crooked and the hem was uneven and the fit was less then flattering she wore it anyway and I knew that I would be sewing for the rest of my life.My obsession with creating has afforded me the opportunity to teach, debut my first ready-to-wear collection in 2010, and has grown my blog from a personal diary to a full-time job and now a wonderful opportunity to work with BERNINA. I currently live in Los Angeles with my husband and children and am working on creating my own apparel pattern collection.
