Sew to Serve: Project Linus
Project Linus, along with the help of a multitude of volunteers, has distributed over three MILLION blankets to children in need since the organization started in 1995. Each hand made blanket hand brings a comfort, warmth, and a sense of security to children in need. Despite have helped so many, there are still many children who could benefit from a Project Linus blanket – and here is your opportunity to help!
The Project Linus website lists many ways to get involved, from donating funds, becoming a “blanketeer” or even helping with a local chapter near you. Blankets can be knit, crochet, quilted or stiched, and Project Linus even offers a whole page FULL of blanket patterns and links to help you get started. Got time to stitch up a small blankie? Then you have time to sew to serve a child in need.
