New Year’s Re-SEW-lutions
Reflecting on the past year and resolving to make the coming year a better one is as old a tradition as celebrating at New Year’s Eve. Here at WeAllSew we’re all taking stock of our sewing, quilting, and crafting projects and adventures from 2011 and focusing on what we want to accomplish with our sewing in 2012.
Personally, I’m very proud to have tackled creating an original art quilt, and although it did take me all year long (I started in January and just finished sewing the hanging sleeve on the back this week), I am happy to have finished it! I was also happy to have sewed to serve others in 2011 through some charity projects; pillowcases for the APQ 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge and quilting for charity with the Chicago Modern Quilt Guild.
As for my resolutions, I’m still thinking about it but I know it will somehow involve using more of my ever-growing fabric stash, challenging myself with another big project, and even learning some new sewing and quilting techniques.
