Sewing_Heavy_Fabrics_Testing_Stitch_Length_On_Layers

Overhead view of denim fabric being sewn in layers

When the layers add up, the stitch gets longer. For this test sample on heavy denim, the stitch length on two layers was 2 mm. On four layers: 3 mm. On eight layers: 4 mm. Each fabric is different, so testing is the only way to know what settings will work best for the project.
