4 Days to Go . . . WeAllSew’s Countdown to Christmas

Day 20 of WeAllSew’s Countdown to Christmas . . . only 4 days to go!

At WeAllSew we’re celebrating the “season of giving” by delivering small gifts to 24 of our loyal fans during the days leading up to Christmas, ending with a BERNINA backpack filled with goodies on December 25. Visit our blog each day  to answer the holiday-related question. We’ll pick a name at random from each day’s comments.

Today’s Question

Have you ever taught someone to sew using a holiday gift as a project?

  1. I don’t feel I know enough about sewing and methods other than the the very basics to be able to teach anyone. I tried to show my daughters but unfortunately they aren’t interested in learning.

  2. Yes, I taught my son to sew by making small square fabric pockets to hold Christmas candy canes for his Sunday School class. It was a great first project that sewed up quickly.

  3. Yes – I taught my niece how to sew, using a purse organizer as her first project. I gave these out as gifts to my family the year before, and she liked them so much that she wanted to learn how to make them.
