  1. I have to multi-task to get ready for Christmas but haven’t tried holiday baking while sewing. I think it would be counter productive in my case.i do embroidery while baking however and that seems to work out very well.

  2. Sometimes. It just depends on what it is. If it is cookies, it is kind of hard because you are always getting up to check doneness. Bread or pies take a long time to bake so it is easy to get a few seams in.

  3. No. I think that either deserves my full attention. But I might quickly shift from one to the other. If I was really organized I would do the prep for one, then fo to the other & save time this way. But alas I’m not.

  4. No. I’m still at the stage of sewing where it’s a good idea for me to pay complete attention to what I’m doing. Otherwise, disaster will result. (Disaster may still result anyway, but whatever.)

  5. I would sew while baking a pound cake but not while baking cookies. I sew near the kitchen. Find both tasks hard on hands in that both require frequent washing if back and forth and lotions etc don’t mix too well with either.

  6. Sometimes and sometimes it is a bit of a problem because I do not hear the timer. You can draw your own conclusions from that. But it is a good thing that my husband likes very dark baked goods lol

  7. Yes, I do bake some while sewing, usually when I am embroidering on my machine. I can leave for a bit while the machine does the work and I can put something in the oven or take it out.
    Multitasking is the key.
