No!! If I did bake while sewing everything would burn! When sewing, I totally block out what’s going on in the house.

I love to bake homemade cherry pies, but not while sewing. I’m afraid I’d forget about the pies and burn them! LOL

It’s never ideal because dishes pile up but sometimes you have to finish your dress and pie for the holiday potluck that night.

I have to multi-task to get ready for Christmas but haven’t tried holiday baking while sewing. I think it would be counter productive in my case.i do embroidery while baking however and that seems to work out very well.

I’m not sure I could! I often forget to eat and miss mealtimes when I’m working on a project! I can only imagine what that would mean for my baked goods!

It depends. If I can bake something that doesn’t require constant monitoring (like cookies), then I sometimes bake.

I do ABSOLUTELY nothing that distracts me from sewing! Sewing time is too precious to me.

Once in a while I do a little hand stitching while I bake but not usually. I just work at getting the baking done so I can sit down and enjoy my sewing!

Sometimes. It just depends on what it is. If it is cookies, it is kind of hard because you are always getting up to check doneness. Bread or pies take a long time to bake so it is easy to get a few seams in.

Never bake while sewing. I loose all track of time while sewing and would burn everything.

I would sew while baking a pound cake but not while baking cookies. I sew near the kitchen. Find both tasks hard on hands in that both require frequent washing if back and forth and lotions etc don’t mix too well with either.

Sometimes and sometimes it is a bit of a problem because I do not hear the timer. You can draw your own conclusions from that. But it is a good thing that my husband likes very dark baked goods lol

No. I’m still too new to machine embroidery to leave the machine alone. However, I do read until the next thread change.

Yes! My kitchen is right next to my sewing space. So, I use my phone as an alarm for baking. I can hear when my embroidery needs attention. AND, I sometimes use my other machine to sew as well. I love multi tasking!

I use to all of the time but now my sewing room is in the basement and I can’t hear my oven buzzer. Thanks for the giveaway.
