Yes! Each year I make 50 Christmas ornaments for my husband to give to his customers. This year a made a felt Christmas mouse.
-
I make a few new things like table toppers and potholders but love to hang my 30 year old handmade ornaments on my tree.
-
Yes – bought a 750 QE a few months back. Played with the beading foot and made pillows for my 8 Sisters/Sister-In-Laws. I had never tried to make a pillow with piping before. Did my first one the old fashion way with my zipper foot. Will never do that again – so much easier with my new machine / new foot!!
Merry Christmas – Monica

I used to, but now have more decorations than I have space & ENERGY for! I learned that the more you put out, the more you have to put away!
-
I usually make some sort of something. Sometimes it is decorations for my home, other times it is gifts for family and friends. Often the project is an ornament.
-
I try to, this year I had to finish up a pumpkin patch wall hanging that took me into November. That left me scrambling to get my holiday gifts finished.
-
No, not this year! This has been a hectic year for me and really haven’t gotten into the holiday season. The outside Christmas lights are shining brightly but that’s the extent of my decorating.
-
Not much. I prefer to reuse the old Ones!
-
One or two every year – there’s always something new out there!
-
I don’t make new holiday decorations every year, but this year I made a new Christmas tree garland. Last year I made free-standing embroidered lace ornaments.
-
No, I don’t every year, but I did make a table runner this year.
-
Not necessarily decorations but at least gifts. This year was placemats.
-
I used to do that, but I haven’t recently. However, this year I did make a cookie “kit” for my granddaughter: apron, potholder, matching bag with homemade cookie mix inside. I’m hoping she’ll want to come over and make them with me. 🙂
-
I often make something new but never everything! This year I added a new Christmas pillow and a couple of table mats.
-
I do make a lot of ornaments for gifts but not new ones for my tree.
-
I start them but so far they are UFO’s. I don’t decorate for the holidays, but each year I say “Next year” and start something. Maybe this next year I will finish something and put it out.
-
not so much
-
Only if a project piques my interest.
-
I usually use the same decorations each year – I like the tradition of using things over again. When I’m inspired I’ll make some new things also.
-
No, but I hope to get started doing this!
-
Not anymore unless it is for someone else
-
some years. but I always make gift bags and gift tags.
-
No, not every year, unfortunately. It would be fun, but a little unrealistic for me.
-
Funny you should ask – I just bought some craft cinnamon sticks to make Christmas trees for next year. The sticks will be the trunk and the tree top will be made from my Christmas fabric scraps. I will probably gift these or use them as gift tags since we are overloaded with ornaments after 40 years of accumulating!
-
I made my first tree skirt this year for my daughter — came out pretty nice.
Already got an order for another from my best friend for next year.
-
I try to, but I don’t always have time.
-
I make something new each year to add. Last year a table runner, this year a wall hanger.
-
Not this year. A new tree skirt is my plan for next year.
-
I will from now on! Now that I have a beautiful new Bernina!
-
I have never made decorations for the holidays. how do people find so much time?
-
Absolutely not! Unless the urge strikes me or I see something too cute to pass up making.
-
no, not really
-
No, because there are a lot of years we don’t even decorate our house because we spend the holidays out of town.
-
I usually make gifts for others rather than more decorations for myself.
-
A lot of times, I did beaded snowflake ornaments this year.
-
Not every year, but I’m trying to make at least one small project each year.
-
I love dark shades of red. And of course plaids that are predominately red!
-
I try to add something new each year…
-
Every year I make at least one new decoration.
-
Only to give away.
-
I make new holiday decorations about every three years.
-
No, not every year.
-
That’s one thing I don’t make. I always pick up a few ornaments on sale after the fact but I couldn’t say the last time I made a Christmas decoration.
-
No, I haven’t made holiday decorations in years. It always seems too busy to get to something like that 🙁
-
No I don’t make new decorations each year, just when I feel like something new. Thanks.
-
I stitch counted cross stitch ornaments each Christmas.
-
Yes, since my taste changes every year, or I’ll add stuff to my current decorations.
-
I usually end up making one or two new things to update my decorations. I love this time of year!
-
No. I love using old ornaments that have sentimental value.
-
Not if i can help it! I am usually too busy making my gifts at the last minute!
-
Oh my, no. Who’s got time for that! I’d rather be making gifts!!!
-
nope…too new to this craft. But, I hope to learn FSL before next Christmas!
-
I usually make one or two each year, but nothing fancy. Last year I made felt circle garland. This year I’m focusing on making decorations for my daughter’s 5th birthday (Calvin & Hobbes theme), which is on the 23rd. I hope to make some Christmas quilts and table runners some year! Maybe when my kids are grown!
-
I love decorating for Christmas. I have made some Christmas wall-hangings, table runners, and I made some Christmas socks with my Bernina. I even embroidered names on the socks.
-
not usually, but i try to do something different each year decoration wise
-
no
-
Absolutely!
-
Depends upon the year aand whether my older ones need replacement.
Lucky Quilter -

That’s the one thing I haven’t sewn yet. There have been some great patterns out this year that I think I’ll make some as gifts for next year.
