Whether you sew clothing or cosplay, the bernette 08 DIY Sewing Presser Foot Kit has all the feet you’ll need to level up the quality of your sewing. The feet are also unique in the sense that they are similar to industrial presser feet. Each one is metal and screws into place onto the ankle of the machine. Just like in garment factories, each foot serves a specialized purpose in the garment making process and being able to use them in combination with the high speed of the b 08 machine, you’ll finish garments in half the time!

Straight Stitch Foot for Fine Fabrics: Sew Special Occasion Fabrics Stress Free!

The Straight Stitch Foot for Fine Fabrics is actually a foot and needle plate duo. This is perfect for stitching your special occasion fabrics such as chiffon, organza, and China silk, to name a few. The needle plate optimizes your stitch quality on fine fabrics because of its slightly raised, polished surface, along with the small holes on both it and the foot.

If you have ever tried to sew a seam on something lightweight and sheer, such as a chiffon, you know the headache of the fabric being pulled down into the bobbin at the beginning of the seam, resulting in a jammed machine.

With this foot, you can begin sewing right at the edge of the fabric and achieve perfect stitching without snagging even the most delicate fabrics. In the sample below, a French seam was stitched on Crepe Back Satin. The polish finish on the needle plate helped this slippery fabric glide through the machine with ease, ensuring a pucker-free seam.

Invisible Zipper Foot: Invisible Zippers That Are Truly Invisible!

When it comes to sewing perfect Invisible Zippers, this is the foot to grab! The foot has two grooves underneath to help unroll the zipper teeth and stitch in  just the right spot for your zipper installation.

Notice how, in the sample below, the zipper blends into the seam, even though it is a contrasting color (the red zipper pull against the silver fabric also adds some sparkle!). This foot works best with the standard Invisible Zipper technique, where the zipper is inserted prior to the seam underneath the zipper being stitched.

Tip: Continue using the Zipper Foot to stitch the remainder of the seam below the zipper. Using the screw on the foot, adjust the foot so that it is as far to the left as it will go. This allows you to get nice and close to the previous zipper stitching and prevents the infamous pucker that can occur where the zipper ends on the right side of the fabric.

Straight Stitch Foot with Non-Stick Sole: For ALL Your Leather Needs!

The Straight Stitch Foot with Non-Stick Sole is ideal for stitching leather and other sticky materials. The Non-Stick Sole glides along the surface of the fabric, resulting in maximized smooth, pucker-free stitching on all projects.Top Stitching with Non-Stick Foot

If you find that the foot is “sticking” to your fabric when sewing with this foot, take a look at your stitch length and presser foot pressure. Dial down your presser foot pressure to a lower number and set your stitch length to between 3 and 4. This helps the fabric feed through the machine easier, as well as ensures no risk of jamming or getting skipped stitches.

This foot offers you a high fashion finish on your leather garments! In the sample below, four seams were sewn and then top stitched with the seam allowance open. It looks professional while being an easy seam finish.
