Meet the New BERNINA Embroidery Hoops
BERNINA is always innovating accessories to improve your sewing, quilting, overlocking, and embroidery experience. For BERNINA, it’s not enough to simply come out with a new product or accessory; what truly matters is the quality and precision in every step of making the product. BERNINA Hoops are known for being impeccably engineered, rigorously tested, and manufactured with the highest quality materials. I love my BERNINA Hoops and how reliable they are year after year. I also love that there is a perfect BERNINA embroidery hoop for every single project.

In 2026, three new embroidery hoops joined the BERNINA Hoop lineup. Let’s talk about these new hoops in detail.
Sticky Embroidery Hoops

I am very excited to announce that BERNINA’s newest hoop type is Sticky Hoops!
For those that don’t know, Sticky Hoops have been around for several years and are particularly popular in the multi-needle machine embroidery world. Sticky Hoops are essentially the metal frame of a magnetic hoop, allowing you to directly stick sticky stabilizers to the frame for easy project floating. Sticky Hoops are great for embroidering fabrics and projects that cannot be easily hooped within a standard hooping, such as collars, napkin corners, or the tongues of shoes.
People often use Sticky Hoops with the patching method of embroidery. With the patching method, you cut out just around the stabilizer that was used in the project and remove it. Now you can take a square of sticky stabilizer slightly bigger than the remaining hole and stick it to the wrong side of the already hooped stabilizer, covering the hole completely. You can repeat this as necessary to finish your series of projects. I find this method to be especially helpful when quickly working through a repetitive project, such as a set of napkins.
Here is the Lineup:

Sizes:
- Medium Sticky Embroidery Hoop 6.5” x 10.4″ (165 x 265 mm)
- Large Sticky Embroidery Hoop 8.25” x 15.75″ (210 x 400 mm)

Skip this hoop when…
- You cannot quilt with this hoop. Reach for the Clamp Hoops or Magnetic Hoops instead.
- You want more control over the fabric and stabilizer. Use standard hooping methods. Reach for the Twist Lock Hoops instead.
- You don’t want to work with an adhesive stabilizer; this stabilizer type is required for this hoop.
Giant Magnetic Hoop

In 2025, BERNINA launched the magnetic hoops in three different sizes: Large, Medium Border, and Medium. Now there is a Giant Magnetic Hoop to the lineup for B 990 owners! The Giant Magnetic Hoop combines the full embroidery field of the Giant Hoop with the easy, ergonomic hooping of the magnetic hoops.
While there may be other magnetic hoops on the market, BERNINA magnetic hoops are specifically engineered to work perfectly with BERNINA Machines. These hoops have also been strengthened with the addition of more magnet coverage across the hoops, come with a BERNINA hoop template, and have a textured upper hoop to make the hoop easier to manipulate.
I love using magnetic hoops for things like quilting, especially with thick materials like Soft and Stable, which are often used for bags. Magnetic hoops are also great for delicate materials that will be damaged by regular hooping; fabrics like velvet, corduroy, and cork all work wonderfully in magnetic hoops.
