Free-Motion Feathers

I love taking classes because I can always learn something new. I took a free-motion class at a local dealership and had a lot of fun playing with my BERNINA Stitch Regulator as well as other free-motion feet. I love the way the hopper mechanism works with all the spring-loaded feet. These are my first free-motion feathers!

Notice how I kept track of my presser foot using a bright red cable tie? I got the idea from Julie at Bits & Pieces, the BERNINA dealership in Wayne, MI. Wrap the cable tie around the presser foot shank, pull tight, clip off the excess, and you’ll always be able to tell which foot is yours if it goes astray during a class or sewing retreat.
