BERNINA 990 Placemats

Today is an exciting day for me to be guest-hosting on BERNINA’s blog because it is finally time to share a special project I’ve had in the works for some time, (drumroll please…) my BERNINA 990 Placemats!

I do a lot of design work in my job, from fabric and rulers to patterns and digital designs, but it is a special treat to get to design something for a specific machine because then I can really delve into how to use specific features to their best advantage.

What is special about the B 990?  There are lots of things, and even in this small piece, I was able to pack in many amazing features, including: 4-Point Placement, the Pinpoint Laser, the Placement Scanner, Jumbo Stitch, and the BISR.

I wrote up a pattern in case other B 990 owners might like to make their own set of placemats.

I used my Cotton Shot line of fabrics and my Good Measure Every Semicircle Quilting Templates, along with OESD stabilizers.  You can find the fabric at many amazing BERNINA dealer and you can find the templates either at these dealers or on my website.
