Introducing The Big Book of Embroidery
Every summer BERNINA hosts a convention to inspire and educate BERNINA dealers, introducing them to new products and promotions. One of the most exciting and useful new products introduced this year was The Big Book of Embroidery. This book is a guide to BERNINA machine embroidery. It’s a comprehensive machine embroidery book with a wealth of information for the novice as well as the experienced stitcher. Full disclosure: As editor of this book, I am a bit biased. I’ve been working on it for the past year and it’s finally here! I’m thrilled that it is now available to everyone at your local BERNINA stores.
The book starts at the beginning with information about designs, stabilizers, embroidery supplies, and hooping methods. From there you explore basic editing functions that includes resizing, rotating, and Word Art.
Then you move on to more exciting functions such as Color Wheel, Endless Embroidery, and Importing Decorative Stitches.
Next comes design placement. Using low tech methods with hoop templates and paper design templates is a good place to start. Then you can move on to high tech machine functions such as Virtual Positioning and Pinpoint Placement (on specific models).
After you get past the basics, you’re ready to explore stitching techniques. These include In-the-Hoop Projects, Lettering and Monogramming, Freestanding Designs, Piecing, Quilting, Applique and more!
With 200 pages of information and inspiration, you will want to have this book in your embroidery library. Click here to find a BERNINA store near you so you can go check out The Big Book of Embroidery! While you’re there, take a look at The Big Book of Feet. You’ll love both of them!

Looking to purchase this book

Just purchased the Big Book of Embroidery to add to my library, but noticed that the B765 SE was not among the list of embroidery machines. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Any reason why the beautiful Rose Gold Special Edition B765 was not mentioned?
Thanks,

Is this book still available? I live in South Africa but no luck finding it here

I was extremely disappointed to find out the Big Book of Embroidery is missing most of the pages in the book and also repeated a multitude of pages that were present. It should have been reviewed more carefully. Not sure how many people purchased this book—very expensive and virtually worthless for me!
