BERNINA offers several different levels of embroidery software; the completely free ArtLink 8 to open files, convert formats, and send to your machine, the easy to use Toolbox to edit, add lettering, or monograms, and the advanced Designer Plus for editing and digitizing. 1. I would love to know how to make a design into applique, or remove elements, or rearrange elements. I am fortunate to have ongoing help at our local Bernina shop.

  2. I would love to be able to create the pictures I have in my head into actual designs. Sometimes purchased designs can come close but just not quite what I have in mind.

  3. I have always wanted to create my own quilt labels..I have tried but could never make them come out right. I hope to learn more by following tips and tricks..

  4. I would like to create a book: each page would have inspirational quotes and excerpts of poems, with embroidery designs to embellish these pages. Then I would bind the pages together and create the book. Like a quiet book for adults.

  5. Possibilities of creativity with Bernina embroidery software are endless! I have loads of ideas that I want to create, but right now what comes to mind are Spring/Easter theme projects. I’d love a cute tablerunner and/or kitchen set for the season (e.g. Easter Eggs, Rabbits, Fllowers, etc).

  6. I would like to be able to make embroidered denim “hobo” style “distressed” handbags to recycle old jeans. The mind boggles at the endless variety of motifs, trailing vines, monograms, paisleys, medallions, animals, sugar skulls, flowers and anything a person wanted on them. They could be “pursonalized” before sewing together in a crazy quilt kind of pattern or patchwork including old lace and colorful linings….Every purse would be unique works of art…high school and college girls would LOVE them and if I purchased the jeans at thrift shops and yard sales my “fabric” would be affordable and thus my creations could sell for reasonable prices….I’m not in business yet but my new Bernina 770 QE AE has opened my eyes to awesome creative possibilities!

  7. Things I would like to create with embroidery software are ~ logos for my son’s own companies, my own handwriting as embroidery, my children’s drawings as embroidered masterpieces, photos personally recreated as embroidered gifts, a friend’s artwork (if he would like and allow) made into artful embroidered sketches, and my own drawings (though I am not an artist) made into amazing artwork for the wall!

  8. I would really like to make a Valentine’s quilt and be ready
for next year! The quilt would have embroidery, fun motifs, and
custom lettering to display in my home for February.

  9. I recently purchased the Version 8 Designer Plus Software. I love it! I want to learn to turn my original drawings into digitized images that I may use for art and gifts.

  10. Just bought my first embroidery machine. I have a granddaughter that I would like to make clothes with cute embroidery and also come up with embroidery designs for Christmas tree skirts.

  11. I would love to know how to create a logo and some sayings to go on my T shirts. Sadly the neatest Bernina shop is 3-4 hour drive from me. I would really love to see a site for education and getting accessories for those of us in rural or frontier areas here in the Midwest where there are so few dealers.

  12. I would like to increase my digitizing skills. My husband wants to make his own car upholstery and have the vehicle’s logos on the seats. We have just finished marine vinyl seats with the boat’s name on the front and a crab on the back.

  13. Gosh, I love my Designer Plus software. I would love to be more proficient at using it. I use it to add names to a design I have but I know it does so much more. I think I just need to dive in but I am afraid I will ruin something,
All of my friends love it when I add their name to an article that I have made for them.

  14. I’d love to create personalized labels for my projects, including my name and date, along with a sweet message. Another project is a family tree with my children’s names and birthdates. This would be made into a mini wall hanging or pillow cover. duchick at mchsi dot com

  15. I like to embellish my clothing with embroidery designs. So, I would really like to create unique arrangements of designs from my embroidery collections to compliment the fabrics and styles.

  16. There are so many possibilities! I would like to design labels for my quilts, personalize gifts for my grandchildren and family, design embellishments for bags I love to make. I think ideas would be endless.

  17. I would love to create embroidery quilt labels. My passion is creating items using a variety of mediums (mixed media artist) and just started doing that with my quilting now that I have a Bernina ❤️

  18. I would love to create a family tree being able to put names on. Also, to make quilt labels, and to learn to digitize proficiently. There is so much to do and learn about embroidering and not enough hours in the day..

  19. I would like to learn all I can about Designer Plus and eventually digitize some designs I have for a miniature quilt. Software and designing are so much fun.

  20. So many embroidery designs in the Bernina Software! I want to make many more quilt labels, bags, placemats, and whatever all of my children and grandchildren want!

  21. I would like to learn how to use my Bernina 830 with embroidery module so I can attempt to embroider my grand-nephew’s initials on the baby quilt I am currently making. I have given myself until the end of February to begin learning the embroidery aspect of this spectacular machine!

  22. I like embroidering a white on white block with my quilt label discretely right on the front!
If I’m making a baby quilt I like to embroidery the babies name in several bright colors in different fonts.
    I like embroider quilting!
I like to embroider almost anything! Towels, pillow cases, sheets, shirts, socks. You name it!
Embroidery software makes it so you can create almost anything!

  23. I would like to embroider some jeans for my teenager granddaughter. I would also like to embroider a small zipper bag for all the cheerleaders on her team.

  24. I would make labels for some quilts. And then I would make a table runner for Easter. I have been going to make one for a couple years, I just need a little more motivation.

  25. I enjoy being able to create one of a kind quilts, designs for clothing, and making my home reflect who I am. Being able to place wording in the exact place I want around an existing embroidery turns it into a personal craft. The joy in the recipients face is truly a gift.
