      1. My favorite machine embroidery is mug rugs! I have so much fun making them. They are like potato chips . .just can’t have just one! They make wonderful gifts for birthdays, holidays, tuck one inside a card to say hi or get well .

    1. I love to embroider things for gifts. Our first grandchild will be born this summer. I am looking forward to embroidering many things for this new little addition to our family. My first project will be a onesie with matching little cap. Let the fun and creativity begin!

    2. Love to make felt Pinsel for valentine, St Patrick day, Easter . Made red embroidery hearts for go red For women and heart Disease for my doctors to wear in February. My granddaughter gave out felt hair Pinsel for Valentine’s to her preschool girls. And Terry Bears with a heart to the boys.

    3. My favorite machine embroidery project is to applique and then incorporate the applique into a quilt–at least that’s my fav right now! That could change at any time as I am taking classes at my Bernina dealer for using the embroidery unit on my 765SE and the projects are all so fun!

    4. I love to make banners for each holiday, they hang on a free standing metal frame. I have made them for my daughter and two daughter in laws and am now starting on Granddaughter in law. They are festive for the holiday and reminds them of their mother, mother in law and grandmother in law. May start making them for friends. Such a simple way to decorate for the holidays throughout the year.

    5. I love all kinds of home dec, purses and little bags, children’s’ clothes and other items. With Bernina the possibilities are ENDLESS! How did I ever live without my embroidery machine?????

    6. I honestly will say my favorite embroidery project is any I pay a friend to do for me, especially since I have the simplest non-embroidery Bernina machine…I’d love to own a machine with the bells and whistles!

    7. I loved the Valentine pillow. I just finished making the OESD free-standing Angels. You always have good projects and the directions are clear and easy to follow. I always pin a few for later. Thanks.

    8. My friend & I just made embroidered pillowcases made from her grandfathers shirts. He recently passes away & we were able to make one for each of his children & grandchildren. That’s my favorite project so far, because it was so meaningful. I ❤️ my Bernina!!

    9. I’m just beginning my embroidery journey and love it so far. I love “in the hoop” projects and have done tea towels this past Christmas for family. My daughter was very impressed with hers.

    10. Mug Rugs. Who doesn’t like mug rugs! They are great to personalize with hobby motifs and give as gifts for any occasion. Embroider the persons name on the mug rug and the person will feel extra special.

    11. I love learning to monogram things, wait, adding embroidery to quilt blocks, wait, adding embroidery to quilt tops, embroidery on jackets and anything else I can get my hands on! Of course I have to practice more to get it so it doesn’t look like a cow chewed on it and spit it back out 🙂

    12. I love embroidering to personalize gifts. Most recently on bay blankets but have also made a wedding ring pillow. I have a lot to learn and would love putting these prizes to work in my studio.

    13. I make potholders out of my various stitch-out samples. If I find designs that work really well, I make several for my birthday & Christmas gift giving. I really like the 5×5 and 6×6 inch designs, they are a perfect size for potholders.

    14. I love embroidering pillow cases, little clutch purses, towels, hems and collars for little girl clothes and jackets. Gosh just about everything I can think of to add something special.

    15. My favorite type of machine embroidery project is embroidering designs I have created and digitized myself. I have a great sense of accomplishment at having learned the digitizing process and how to use my sewing machine to create the finished project.

  1. I love to just play with anything embroidered! Especially simple useful items for my 5 grandchildren. They always need a name on something for school. Also enjoy doing kitchen towels.

  2. My favorite type of machine embroidery project is embroidering tea towels that are bright and cheery and an apron and potholders to match. I love to give them as gifts to brighten my friends kitchen❤️

  3. My favorite type of embroidery project is a successful one. I love doing all kinds of embroidery projects. It’s hard to pick one single type as my favorite. I have a Bernina 780 that makes it a joy to embroider.

  4. I love to embroider designs that I can incorporate in my quilts. Blending machine embroidery with other techniques such as appliqué, piecing FMQ, create interesting and beautiful pieces.

  5. I have a B580 and a B790+ and I love to do Free Standing Lace. I m currently preparing to do a beautiful swan on the back of a jean jacket FOR ME! How about that, doing a project for me. LOL

  6. The possibilities are endless! Today, I am sending a Grandma Care Package, Valentine’s Day theme. It will include the WeAllSew doorhanger and the small stuffed heart (on a ribbon, necklace). Also, three different zippered bags (ITH projects), two “love” cork coasters (ITH). Since one of the recipients is a young boy…and he really does not want a Heart or flower bag, I found a Bernina ladybug pattern to embed in a larger zipper bag (ITH)…I just hope his mom doesn’t let him collect ladybugs in the bag. All of this is in lieu of the traditional candy gifts. My favorite projects change with the seasons and holidays. And there is always something new around the corner!

  7. My favorite type of project for machine embroidery is sew hard to pin down… I love embellishing home decor: pillows, table runners, wall hangings, Towels etc but also my clothing. I mostly love my Bernina 830 because I can embroider & sew an entire project without removing the embroidery arm. (Even my little Bernina Artista still runs like like new) Love Bernina!

  8. I have enjoyed embroidering character towels for our high school students who have demonstrated good character actions. We use school colored towels with “knights” and the student’s name.

  9. I love to add embroidery to as many projects as I can, it adds so much. With my Berninas: an 880 plus and an Artista 730, it is so easy to accomplish any embroidery.

  10. I enjoy the end result so much more when embroidery designs have been added into a quilt project. Embroidery can exquisite details to the beautiful quilt designs of today. Best of all is how good you feel when you can create a project so pretty!

    1. I purchased the embroidery machine over a year ago and haven’t used it since. I am having a hard time trying to “figure” it all out. I love monograming (which I did right after the class) but now need to continue with using it and figuring out everything. Love the outcome-it looks so great. Have seen so many patterns I would love to add to my collection and be able to use for different projects.

    1. I like using embroidery designs for quilting. I’ve used a wreath to quilt squares which fit perfectly. All I had to do was make sure the design was centered and because it was a circle in a square, it was really easy and turned out great.

  11. ITH Machine embroidery, towels, baby announcements, baby items, keyfobs. I love the in the hoop projects – everything is done when I finish! I did some FSL at Christmas – that was great fun! I did some special sayings – “digitized” by me – for Christma gifts using the nap blocker for the first time. Those turned out super good! I’m into key fobs at the moment. And baby announcements are tons of fun.

  12. I love it all, but am especially amazed by the in the hoop appliqué projects that come out perfectly every time whether I am using my Bernina 880 plus or my Bernina 570 QEE.

  13. Just one?! Towels are the easiest for me since I’ve done so many, and I’ve started to dabble with quilting, but I think I’d like to expand to garment embroidery

  14. Currently working O Holy Night Embroidery project. Beautiful pattern.
My favorite embroidery project is one that I do for my grandchildren or a loved one. I lovemaking embroidery tee shirts for my grandchildren or embroidery blocks for quilts

  15. I am brand new to machine embroidery but so far I have loved everything I have tried. I am really loving the FSL design Damask Birdhouse I am working on now. I am trying to work out a design for a quilt I am working on and I want to make pillows and towels and all kinds of things!

  16. I’m a new Bernina 570 QE owner. I love to embroider felt coasters and pillows and tea towels. Especially love to embroider birds! Wish I had a better understanding about stabilizers 😊

  17. I have recently been concentrating on applique. I love using the buttonhole stitch on my appliques. I recently made my granddaughters two quilts – a forest animal quilt and an ocean creatures quilt – all made with multiple applique pieces using the buttonhole stitch. They loved them!

  18. Whatever I’m working on is my favorite. That being said I had a tremendous amount of fun embroidering on felt, cutting out the embroidery and making holiday wreaths for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  19. Love making special items for children — from bibs with bow ties and numbers (for monthly first year pictures) to small quilts with their names and designs of favorite things (most recently one filled with items from the movie, Coco, to enhancing the clothing items that I make for our granddaughters. Also, make free standing angels for a neonatal unit so that mothers who lose their babies have something to go home with.

  20. I love using embroidery designs in art quilts. Currently I am working on a quilt as you go embroidery design bed quilt. I also like red work embroidery but like using blue thread best.

  21. I like to enhance my quilt blocks with embroidery. I am working on the gold jubilee quilt that was featured in a We All Sew Quilt along which contains several embroidery blocks.

  22. I love all kinds of embroidery and sewing projects. My favorite projects involve using my software and the design abilities of my embroidery machine to make things a little different. I enjoy the variety of great projects that I see on We All Sew.

  23. My favorite embroidery projects are done in the hoop from mug rugs to zipper pouches. I love it when you take it out of the hoop and you have a completed project that is perfectly lined up and everything matches. Easiest way to put in a zipper as well. Love my in the hoop projects.

  24. I would love these products to help me in my endeavors. Presently I am having fun with in the hoop projects but I’m also quilting and loving that. I recently retired and am having so much fun with my Bernina.

  25. My favorite embroidery projects include mug rugs. In the evenings while I watch TV, I enjoy hand embroidery. I have two separate projects where I hand embroidered blocks to make into quilts or lap throws.

  26. Quilt labels … to tell the story … who made the quilt, when, where and why it was created. For this and future generations to honor. Nothing lasts longer than thread!

  27. I have been enjoying appliqué and in the hoop projects, but don’t know if I have a “favorite” type of project yet. I’ve only been machine embroidering for 2 months!

  28. I just got a Tula 770 and I love to embroidery little projects that can be done in the hoop. I love getting the satisfaction of finishing something in a night because I can come out of my sewing room with a finished project. (They also don’t end up in the UFO bin.)

  29. My favorite project is ith mug rugs! At my house they are utilitarian, often washed and often with mistakes. For friends, family, and coworkers they are more elaborate and express feelings of support, celebration, and, love.

  30. My favourite project is to embellish any kind of project from clothes to towel, apron… with appliqué techniques or quilting. I am thinking to learn the welsh quilting.

  31. I love large, involved embroidering projects, like embroidering a jean jacket with an all-over pattern using just the right natural colors. This type of project requires lots of design work in the software to reshape and perhaps resize designs and uses all my skills in terms of selecting the right designs, stabilizer, thread type, hoops and needles. I guess I love a challenge! If I’m into a great project like this, it makes me want to jump out of bed in the morning!

  32. I love making all kinds of embroidery and “in the hoop” projects using my Bernina, but my favorite are mugrugs which make such personalized gifts for friends and famiy!

  33. Since purchasing the 790, I have found all my embroidery projects much easier than my old machine (Bernina Artista 185). Best project was a llama design with wording in several colors that I put on a sweatshirt for my granddaughter, who loves llamas. She was thrilled with it!

  34. I love to use my Bernina embroidery machine to do in-the-hoop designs for quick gifts for all my friends and family. I’ve done bookmarks for my Book Club buddies and pouches of all sorts for the grandkids. I use the pouches for gift cards for all special occasions.

  35. My favorite machine embroidery project is the one I am working on at the moment! Currently the Celestial Stars quilt by Amanda Murphy. So many projects saved from We All Sew.
LOVE the Wrought Iron Pillow, that is next!!

  36. I like in the hoop projects because they are usually done as you take them out of the hoop. I did try free standing lace recently and oh my how pretty. Might be my next favorite embroidery thing to do.

  37. What is your favorite type of machine embroidery project?
Technically….ALL of them 😉 but really I love, love, LOVE to do embroidery on clothing, especially children’s clothing!

  38. I LOVE my Bernina 830! It’s big enough I can use it to embroider my quilts. I normally use multiple designs and they turn out BEAUTIFUL! LOVE LOVE LOVE machine embroidery!!!
Not to mention, I embroider all my quilt labels, with the pertinent information, that are forever a part of the quilt.

  39. I embroider various items all year long but the last few months of the year, I especially love to embroider items for our church Christmas Market to sell for making money for missions. I make free standing lace Christmas ornaments and bookmarks for the kids to buy for Mom’s gift and kitchen towels for everyone. I also make Kleenex box covers. Love my Bernina!

  40. I like personalizing quilt blocks, embroidering on tea towels and bath towels, making quilt labels and quilting with embroidery. My Bernina sewing and embroidery machines have given me much enjoyment over 30 years!

  41. I love to do free standing lace projects and in the hoop projects. They are so quick and easy to do that my grandchildren have been able to make things to give as gifts.

  42. I love making dish towels as gifts for people we visit and for birthday presents. My Bernina 770 works great and I have never had any problems with anything I wanted to embroidery.

  43. I enjoy all types of machine embroidery. Lately FSL and quilting designs have been calling my name. Thank you keeping us up to date on the latest techniques and accessories for our Berninas.

  44. I’d like to try the floral embroidery patterns in this month’s newsletter when I need to hide a pair of patched jeans. It’d be a fun way to save them while updating them.

  45. The holidays provide special projects for embroidery enthusiasts like myself. I try to select one from my local sewing shop and embroider the project. This month it was to embroider placemat napkins on cork. I was amazed and delighted with the results on my Bernina. It’s become my recent favorite.

  46. I am custom embroidering shades of blue and white quilt blocks which will be at the center of a beautiful art quilt. There will be 20 in all and I have 14 of them done. I love my Bernina 790Plus.

  47. Still in the learning stages. Enrolled in the upcoming Embroidery class at the Creative Center in March. Can’t wait to learn how to do everything the right way.

  48. My favorite project is anything new. I love embroidering something that I haven’t created before. My most recent project was a baptismal blanket which included the child’s name and date of baptism.

  49. I love all things embroidered! In the hoop designs make quick, easy and beautiful gifts. The ability to personalize any sewing project with a pop of embroidery is “sew” special!

  50. My favorite type of machine embroidery is free-stand lace. Sometimes I use it to make my own lace trims to match the color of fabric for cuffs or hems. Sometimes I use it for decorative motifs to be sewn onto clothing.

  51. My favorite types of embroidery project are shirts and jackets that I embroider for my brother and sister’s horse riding club and baby quilt labels. I embroider the riding club name, a horse head or horses running or something to do with horses and their names. They work with children with special needs and challenges and you can see beautiful embroidery wandering across open spaces as they work with the children and horses. I also like to embroider quilt labels for baby quilts with name, birth date and scripture with a cute baby inspired embroidery motif!

  52. Over the past year, I’ve embroidered over 20 decorator pillows! Choosing designs, sorting through threads, finishing the embroidery, quilting the front and back, and adding a zipper, all make for a designer pillow that makes a treasured gift. I’m hooked!

  53. I have started a small home run business after learning machine embroidery to enhance my final projects. Everything enhances quality. I don’t get tired of watching the needle. But I seriously loved creating embroidery modeled after Van Gogh’s famous paintings. Please check it out on my instagram page #shopheartfelt_handmade

  54. My favorite design or project is to embroider quilt blocks. I can customize the block to a personal theme, basically designing my own fabric….how cool is that!!! 😁

  55. I’m new to embroidery and love seeing all the possibilities on Weallsew. I’m taking classes at my local quilt shop and have made a notebook cover and quilt label. One of my goals this year is to increase my knowledge and skills with embroidery so I can make a wall hanging for my mantle. Thanks, weallsew for providing instruction and encouragement! Love my Bernina!

  56. What could beat having my five year old grandson sit at my side while we designed a monster in Toolbox, then his excitement when he got to wear it on his t-shirt! HIs little brother and cousin got t-shirts embroidered with “I do solemnly swear I am up to no good”. Thank you, Bernina!

  57. I love to embroider labels for the adoption blankets my sewing group makes. We make a simple blanket for each child adopted through Child Protective Services in East Texas. We make a label with the child’s name and adoption date then attach to the blanket.

  58. In the hoop projects are really fun. I completed a Hoop Sisters Feathered Star quilt on my embroidery machine–love it and in fact, was just showing it off to a visitor!

  59. I enjoy in-the-hoop projects, but also like just about any sort of embroidery. It really can enhance a project. I got the Bernina software last year and have been learning slowly… It’s an amazing package – so many possibilities. This year, I got a Bernina 590. I absolutely LOVE my Bernina! It is a joy to sew with it.

  60. I love to take a design and tweak it in my Bernina software by adding another design or lettering and then adding it to my project which could be a towel, wall hanging, quilt label, etc. Love my Bernina 880+!!!!

  61. My Mom gave me her 8th grade boiled wool yellow coat to make something with. She had earned the money picking berries over the summer in the ’40s. I combined it with squares from a Pendelton skirt of hers and made her a lap quilt. I cut squares and rectangles out of each garment and then sewed them together by just overlapping the seams 1/2″ and using every embroidery pattern on my machine. I also embroidered special events in her life on some of the squares. I even used the pockets and put one of her favorite candy bars in it with a hanky. She has used it every day since.

  62. So far my favorite project has been in the hoop cosmetic bags complete with zippers. It’s so easy to get addicted to a project and want to make multiples to give away. They were the perfect gifts for a bridal shower.

  63. I’m new to machine embroidery and I’m so excited to get started! I’m a quilter, but recently got back involved in creating children’s clothes. I love to do English smocking and am looking forward to doing some machine embroidery on collars, etc.

  64. My favorite embroidery so far (I’ve only had an embroidery machine for a year) has been Free standing lace that I used as a flap on a purse. I really am excited to try embroidery in quilts next!

  65. My favorite embroidery projects are in the hoop designs. Quilt blocks, oesd standing lace projects, in the hoop bags. They are all so fun to work on and complete.

  66. Embroidering Lace and then watching the stabilizer disappear in water brings me great joy. As a child I watched grandma hand tat – Mom crochet – my generation embroidered lace is so much more fun.

  67. I am a newbie so still have a lot to learn about machine embroidery. I have a new granddaughter and would love to do some little embroidered dresses and onesies.

  68. I love embellishing gifts in the hoop, whether it is a request from a grandson for a “grown up” quilt with a fish motif, or a set of princess themed shorts and shirt in orange for my granddaughter. All I need to hear is “ Nana, can you make me a …..? and my embroidery machine begins to hummmm.

  69. Since I was a small child I have always loved embroidery. My favorite is to take a ready made outfit and make it fancy, for my daughter, granddaughters or myself. If I had the time, all my clothes would have a splash of embroidery somewhere.

  70. I love to embroider phrases (usually something cheeky like Suck It or Piss Off) inside floral rings and then hand embroider to add detail and flourish and frame. Weird gifts for family and friends!

  71. I just got my embroidery machine, so far I have just been practicing different designs, want to make a walleye fish on some sweatshirts. Love my new Tula Pink Bernina 770

  72. I don’t know that I have a fav’ I like doing them all. Quilt block, quilting, t-shirts, mug rugs, free standing lace, you name it and I like doing it. IF, I had to choose a fav’, I would have to say “Free standing lace”.

  73. Just love to embroider flowers for wall hangings and table runners. Also holiday designs. Also in the hoop projects. Also freestanding lace projects. I just love to embroider on my 765 and 630!!

  74. I am a beginner embroiderer. I did some embroidery as a young teenager. I wanted to embellish my collars. I’ve been collecting a few supplies to start again. I’d love to win this kit.
I also have the embroidery module for my 570Qe Bernina. I haven’t used it yet. A bit intimidated. Need to do that.

  75. My favorite type of embroidery are the ones that bring the biggest responses from the ones I am giving the embroidery project to. I have found if I add their names or initials I get the best “Wow’s.” My Bernina makes it so easy!

  76. I have only just begun to use the embroidery unit on my 770. My favorite project so far has been to embellish a kindle cover for a dear friend. Looking forward to learning how to use it on my quilts.

  77. My favorite project is anything I’m going to give away! I made a beautiful FSL nativity and gave it away as a Christmas gift. I have made things for my grandkids! All fun projects!

  78. I’m a relative embroidery newbie, but have really enjoyed progressing in the complexity of my projects – so far, my favorite has been embroidering Amanda Murphy’s Stardust Quilt Star appliqués for the Stardust quilt I’m piecing. I. Learning so much, and having fun being creative with my thread and fabric colors as she encourages!

  79. My machine and software are new and I am loving everything I learn to do with it. In my past life, I had an embroidery shop with big commercial machines, but I never got to do all these fun things — way too busy doing production. I am amazed at what my beautiful 880 can do and the Bernina digitizing software is incredible. Easy to use and the results are real quality embroidery.

  80. My favorite machine embroidery projects are spicing up my quilts. Sometimes I embroider blocks. Sometimes I embroider designs into the binding. Sometimes I embrouder my name labels.

  81. I’m a fairly new embroiderer (about a year) and I’m addicted! I love trying new designs and have learned so much along the way although there’s so much more to learn. I do take classes, belong to an embroidery club in a quilt shop and on line plus enjoy the tips on this site. So much fun to create people projects and gift them.

  82. I love my Bernina 590! I embroider shirts for my granddaughters, kitchen towels, bags…all kinds of things. My most recent projects have been designing and embroidering patches for hats for my son-in-law, the Boy Scouts of America emblem and a Star Wars Mandalorian patch were fun. I also have tried a couple of in the hoop designs. The is so much one can do with machine embroidery!

  83. My favorite embroidery projects occur when I manage to successfully change the color ways to suit me and arrange the motif in a new manner upon an item i’ve made.

  84. I enjoy watching the embroidery come to life! The in the hoop bags are a blast, and the designs that come out of the machine are stunning. I could watch these machines stitch for hours😁

  85. I’m a fairly new embroiderer (about a year) and I’m addicted! I love trying new designs and have learned so much along the way although there’s so much more to learn. I take classes, belong to an embroidery club in a quilt shop and on line plus enjoy the tips on this site. So much fun to create people projects and gift them. Right now my favorite projects have been pillows and oven mits shaped like retro campers I’m giving to relatives.

  86. I just purchased my Bernina machine less than one month ago and love it! I love hand embroidery and would like to use my Bernina to add machine embroidery to my hand embroidered projects.

  87. The first thing that fascinated me about embroidery was watching the machine run through it paces on a incredible design using a gorgeous collection of thread colors. That hooked me into completing many small embroidery designs on home decor items, jeans, an two hand clutches for a friend’s daughters using ‘in the hoop’ construction. Now I excited with learning and applying those skills to quilts.

  88. So far, my favorite embroidery project has been the Eric Carle Brown Bear quilt I made for my son, where i appliqued the animals and then embroidered the words in the quilt squares.

  89. I like making new projects – things I haven’t tried before and I love making tea towels for my mother. Its a simple project but makes her happy as she gets older and it’s a way for us to connect.

  90. I love free standing lace. It is like magic! I used to do shuttle tatting until I discovered that you can get the look of tatted lace on your machine in a fraction of the time it used to take. Talk about life-changing!

  91. I want to make patriotic doorway banners for the senior veterans at a nearby nursing home. In addition, I’d like to make room identifier banners – first name, military branch, and service era. They would be “ice breakers” and instigate conversations btwn the same branch, the same service era, or any other way for them to find a new friend.

  92. I’m just learning so I’m trying a lot of different things! From names on baby quilts to kitchen towels, to quilt squares! Having fun and the kids and friends are getting lots of embroidered things.

  93. If I owned a machine that could embroider beautiful designs I would embroider pillows, shirts, skirts, jeans. They would be all my favorite projects! I own a old Bernini Activa 140 that still works after years of sewing. I love my old machine. But it just doesn’t have all the new features to let my creativity run wild!

  94. Which is my favorite? That’s a hard one, but I guess I’d have to say embroidered appliqué. I’ve made a few appliqué pillows and Christmas wall hangings are in process now.
I have to say I’m also really intrigued by all the In The Hoop projects I’ve seen, but haven’t tried them yet.
    Just adore my 765!

  95. I enjoy in the hoop projects such as zippered purses for my granddaughter and baby bibs for gifts. I am a retired teacher and enjoy making reading pillows for gifting also.

  96. My favorite type of machine embroidery project is so hard to choose, but I think that personalizing assessories, such as book bags, pencil cases and scissor holders. There are so many options and each person can have their own design that is easy to create with my Bernina 770QE embroidery hoops. The projects are endless.

  97. I love to embroider anything (reading pillows) and everything (hooded towels, quiet books, standing lace bride & groom, ornaments, Halloween decor, the list goes on & on). It has gotten to the point that my projects posted on social media have friends & relatives asking for the same project. Upon seeing one of the hooded towels, the daughter of a life long friend of my daughter asked her mom why don’t I have one of those towels? My daughter told her all she had to do was put it on her Christmas list and it would appear Christmas morning! And it definitely did appear!

  98. I really love embroidering free standing lace! I took an OESD class & one of the projects was an embroidered napkin corner. Recently I’ve embroidered a bunch of FSL earrings & just the other day made 7 pairs of butterfly wing earrings! So much fun to see them stitch out so perfectly! And so quickly!

  99. I love to embroider on denim. It can be a very dramatic addition to ready made clothes.
Then there is always baby items which are sweet.
I am looking to embroider on my quilts.

  100. I love all kinds of embroidery, even quilt my large quilts with my 830. Right now I am enjoying small quilts for the table top quilt stand. I quilt the background then the embroidery or appliqué, add borders. It’s fun to do one for each month or a quick gift.

  101. I love to embroider on clothing, mainly shirts so far but would like to branch out to jeans. It makes my day to see someone wearing a shirt I have made for them. I also like to create wall hangings and table runners. Well, maybe anything that can become a conversation piece. I love people sharing stories when they see something I’ve embroidered and share a memory of someone they loved who might have made a similar item. I like seeing people’s face light up when recalling their memories!

  102. I love my new machine and all the things it can do. It has opened a whole new world of creativity to me. I am still learning all the techniques. I want to learn how to do ITH projects, applique, and make a quilt that has embroidered blocks.

  103. I love exploring new embroidery designs and I am ready to stitch the TulaPink designs on my 570 Tula Pink Bernina!! I have most enjoyed making the labels for each quilt I make…especially the “gift” quilts I mail to relatives. This was possible with the Artista 170 I got when I began quilting, 21 years ago!!!
    Thank you.

  104. Because I just got my B-770 QE Tula Pink model. My favorite design or project would be anything starter or beginner. I an ready to start on the Scissor Case any time now!

  105. Freestanding lace projects are in high demand from my family members right now. When my Bernina is not occupied with those requests I like to embroider personalized quilts for gifts.

  106. I love in the hoop embroidery projects. It’s great having a finished item, when the embroidery is complete! Doing applique in the hoop is another fun embroidery project too!

  107. My favorite is watching the miracle of a beautiful design just magically appearing under my needle. I do lot of gifts and enjoy WeAllSew and all of the tips and ideas. Thanks for the joy of creating.

  108. I get together with my sister and sister-in-law to embroidery. We all three have machines, so we rotate houses and try new designs, materials, and stabilizers. It’s fun to play and learn new tricks.

  109. I am all about pattern making and sewing clothes. I love to find cool embroidery designs that will be suitable for garments. Embroidered coats and jackets, skirts and dresses fascinate me. I find a lot of inspiration looking at my embroidering friend’s projects. We share ideas and brag. Besides using embroidery you can do a combination of different techniques and make a really couture looking pieces of clothes.

  110. I love purchasing garments at Salvation Army and Goodwill stores to decorate with machine embroidery for my grandchildren. It’s fun to give new life to old garments. I also like to make small gifts, like mug rugs and tea towels to give to friends. I’ve just started converting some of my grandchildren’s drawing into embroideries.

  111. Hi I’m Beckie. I’ve been doing Machine Embroidery on My Bernina machine for awhile now. The projects I love the most are the ones I make myself using the V8 software. They are always made with love. I also really enjoy quick and easy in the hoop projects.

Keep calm and embroider on !!!

  112. After having been a quilter on a Bernina 153 virtuoso for 20 years, last October I purchased my first embroidery machine – a Bernina 770qe Tula Pink. Learning how to embroider in the hoop is such fun – the possibilities are endless. Weallsew has been so helpful in providing tricks and techniques to improve my embroidery skill. My favorite machine embroidery project is to create OESD Heavenly Angels to give my family and friends. I like the idea of angels watching over them!

  113. It has been a thrill to finally be able to make free standing lace embroidery designs myself. Embroidery on quilts with the machine takes my quilts to another level. So many more options for quilting. Classes given by Bernina have helped so much in learning how to do both.

  114. I used to watch my grandmother and then my mother embroidery things like pillow covers and table place mates. I got into it when I got hurt and became disabled. It really helped out with my mind set and I enjoy doing it so much.

  115. My favorite machine embroidery projects are coasters for coffee mugs. I love making them with holiday themes and use them in my sewing room, next to my computer, on the coffee table, and especially giving them as gifts. It’s just a little splash of colorful fun!

  116. I am very new to embroidery. I got my machine right before Christmas but I didn’t get instructions on how to use until January. I made my mom a jacket out of a sweatshirt with a flower and hummingbird embroidery. Hope to try some more soon.

  117. I love the expressions and comments from family and friends when I give them something made from my sewing projects. They are especially thrilled when I have been able to make the embroidery personal.

  118. My favorite type of embroidery is applique and red work. I love applique because the fabric that you use can dramatically change the look of any design. The same applique design can be plain, fun, fancy, or cute, depending on the type, pattern, and texture of the fabric used, and thus can appeal to different ages, sexes, or just be unisex. An applique design can be used for different holidays using the fabric that pertains to a certain holiday, and they are usually quicker to stitch out. Red work designs are a favorite ,because they are so quick to stitch out, can be used on a variety type of fabrics, and are great designs to stitch on card stock for personalized cards.

  119. I recently purchased the Bernina 570QE and looking forward to learning how to machine embroider! Would love to try some of the beautifully designed projects that Weallsew shares with us!

  120. I haven’t found an embroidery project I don’t love. I like small projects mostly. Embroidery and sewing are my mental health therapy. Love making gifts for others. I have to sit down with one of my 3 Berninas every day.

  121. I love to use embroidery on my quilts, clothes, baby clothes, wall hangings, almost anything that can be embellished. Absolutely love the look it gives to all these things. So much fun

  122. My favorite embroidery project so far was using glow in the dark thread to embroider my grandson’s name on his Christmas pajamas. I also love embroidering on linen napkins and dishtowels. I’m anxious to try embossing on bath towels next.

  123. My favorite type of machine embroidery project is to embroider names, dates, or pictures on holiday, birthday, vacations and other special events projects for family and friends. Such as ornaments, toys, blankets/quilts, clothing (esp. children) costumes, table/picnic napkins/tablecloths, bathroom/beach towels, wall hangings, curtains, et cetera.

  124. I have become a fan of FSL & FSA. I enjoy creating something out of nothing. My 7yo son recently made the free standing nativity with guidance from me and now he’s hooked on embrodery too.

  125. Right now, I’ve been making tote bags with an embroidered design. I am mesmerized by my 770QEE as it works its magic on the fabric. Sewing sure has come a long way from my days in home economics class!

  126. I love to embroider mug rugs for my friends. They are in the hoop, use scraps and are just fun to give and receive as a gift. Small gift that says I’m thinking about you and allows your friends to keep you in their thoughts.

  127. I love it all, recently finished southwest embroidering Jean Jackets for myself and hubby. Love making Grand dogs names and paws on their blankets. Many gifts, towels, Christmas Stockings, in the hoop and many many quilt labels. It’s all so exciting! Thank you for this contest.

  128. I love love love the projects that are completed entirely “In the Hoop” I am amazed how well they turn out and the ease of completing an entire project in a hoop. There are so many favorites with machine embroidery to the quilting!

  129. Since I am a novice, JUST BOUGHT a 790P!!! Any project that will help me learn the techniques and machine capabilities is one of my favorites. I love seeing the sleekness of the alphabet stitched out!

  130. For a machine embroidery project, my favorite is creating monograms! I love creating beautiful monograms using my Bernina software, then stitching them out using my Bernina 790+. With Bernina’s help, I can create monogrammed sheets, towels, make-up bags, and precious baby items for loved ones and make a simple project into a thoughtful and beautiful one. NO doubt about it, you just can’t beat a Bernina for perfect projects!

    1. Mug Rugs. Who doesn’t like mug rugs! They are great to personalize with hobby motifs and give as gifts for any occasion. Embroider the persons name on the mug rug and the person will feel extra special.

  131. This is my favorite post yet! I love using the free arm method and did not know this was exclusive to Bernina. I am definitely going to use all of these techniques.

  132. My favorite thing to do with embroidery is personalize the projects I make for family and friends to make sure they know how much I cherish them. My most favorite projects to add embroidery to are the quilts I make for babies. I will probably never to know if they become family heirlooms or worn out completely from wear.

  133. I love embroidering T-shirts for my granddaughters and friends with personalized designs the most, but I love ITH designs, and free-standing lace too. Oh, of course, any new baby needs their name and birth details on a flannel blanket. The list really goes on… I am also hooked on the “We All Sew” platform. There are so many great quick projects with excellent instructions. The pillow book dragon project was amazing for teaching me how to navigate through the placement of lettering, grouping and ungrouping, etc. on my new 880-plus.

  134. My favorite thing to do on my 790+ is free standing Lace & appliqué projects. (Currently making the OESD FSA Easter eggs). While those are stitching I do a variety of sewing projects on my 750. (Currently working in a quilt for my granddaughter with appliqué flowers). LOVE my Bernina’s!

  135. Love making things for our Library Auction and other community activities such as dish towels that are embroidered with butterflies or table runners. Just finished a King quilt that was embroidered and quilt as you go. Simply just love to embroider and love learning new skills and new ways to apply the embroidery.

  136. Love the quick and cute design projects i.e. mug rugs, placemats etc, but also love the challenge of the “days long” embroidery projects–the planning, the choosing of a design or two or three and the actual implementation!! I guess I just LOVE using my embroidery machines!!!

  137. I’ve had a lot of fun embroidering my grandchildren’s names on bath towels. And now that I’m getting into quilting, I’m looking forward to using my machine to make quilts using embroidery designs. The precision of the designs makes my heart sing! You just have to love Bernina Quality.

  138. I love to machine embroider on my Bernina making towels, pillows, wall hangings, adding detail to my quilts and especially for customized gifts. I look forward to the emails from weallsew.

  139. I have really enjoyed my experiences with embroidery. It gives me the opportunity to express myself with the designs and projects I make. It also gives me the opportunity to bless others.

  140. The most rewarding gifts to embroider are baby diaper burp cloths and baby quilts. New mothers love to see the baby’s name on these items. The patterns I have used from OESD over the past twelve years are an added bonus.

  141. Just became a Bernini fan/owner last month. I begin my first class in a couple of weeks. I can’t wait to start and experience all the embroidery options, making art!

  142. I have had my 880+ for a few years now, and haven’t tackled the embroidery module yet. This is my number one goal for 2020!!! I plan on utilizing the embroidery tutorials from Bernina. Would love to win this to help me begin my new project/task of learning a new skill!
    Love my Bernina!!!

  143. I have been doing the OESD School of Embroidery classes and projects and I’ve had a wonderful time. My favorite (at the moment) was learning to do trapunto in the hoop. I’ve also enjoyed doing in-the-hoop embroidered quilt blocks.

  144. I love to do layered machine embroidery to create designs for hangings. I run into some technical issues keeping the sewing from getting to dense. The embroidery software helps a lot with that. So much creative fun!

  145. I love embroidering cute little motifs on kids’ clothes. When my boys were little, it was so much fun to let them choose the design they wanted on the garments I made for them. They were always so excited to see how it would all turn out!

  146. I love In the Hoop projects. I feel like there is so much room for “creative liberties” in the final outcome and enjoy mixing elements from different projects in V8. For example, I like taking a holiday element out of one design and apply it to a completely different project. Changing the size or location of something is also great to make it more perfect for my intended use. Its all so easy to do with the software.

  147. Embroidering my clothing is my favorite project. I especially like adding monograms, and designs that I can do of the same color as the fabric, such as those I can place at the front neck of a t-shirt.. That and adding embroidery to quilting projects.

  148. I love to be able to take ordinary items and make them special with beautiful machine embroidery. Towels, sheets and pillow cases, tablecloths, quilts and so many more items become treasured gifts with the addition of some of the wonderful embroidery my Bernina and I come up with.

  149. I absolutely love ITH embroidery projects. It doesn’t matter if it is a bag or key chain, or baby bib or mug rugs. I love to be able to complete a project with my embroidery unit.

  150. It’s wonderful using my Bernina 830 to embroider well wishes on a lap quilts for fellow colleagues going through chemotherapy. Each lap quilt is personalized. I use a honey bee pattern material and use a phrase: GET WELL and BEE WELL 🐝.

  151. I love the embroidery for doing simple projects or making quilts with embroidery for quilting. Working on Amanda Murphy’s Stardust quilt at the moment. But love the embroidery and perfect placement.

  152. Machine embroidery is my love forever since August 2016. Bernina was generous gift from my friend, and the doors to unlimited fun widely opened for me. I like to explore all types of embroidery techniques – Fsl, applique, trapunto, monogram, etc. but my all time favorite are projects in the hoop. With the step by step I can turn a piece of fabric, stabilizer and variety of thread I can create magic results!

  153. I am new to machine embroidery. I love my Bernina and I am loving all the embroidery classes that I’ve taken. Because I am just learning, I have loved every project and every technique. This is an awesome give-a-way!

  154. Love adding embroidery to items for our granddaughters since it can be so personalized and celebrate their interest of the moment. Also, bibs and towels as gifts for friends and their grandchildren as well as for fundraisers.

  155. I love to do in the hoop projects as they are often very utilitarian and quick. I can use up many of my assorted fabric scraps. These make great gift projects also! My 590 and 790 are key to finishing these with a professional look.

  156. In the hoop projects-snap bags that I’ve added a personalized design to, such as a unicorn to a unicorn-theme birthday party. Zipper bags are super easy to personalize and make both in the hoop or on the sewing machine with an added design. AND my favorite is probably reading pillows.

  157. My goal is to embroider 12-16 flower blocks for a quilt. I also like making tea towels and bath towels. I have a 440QE and would love to update my machine. The new ones are so appealing.

  158. I love in the Hoop Embroidery. I’ve been sewing for many years and I just love what my Bernina sewing machines are capable of doing. I think I’ve embroidered on every type of fabric and never disappointed with the results. I love giving gifts with my embroidery on them.

  159. My Favorite embroidery project is quilt blocks. There are so many types & styles. One of my current projects is embroidering little girl designs on to a quilt for my daughter.

  160. In the hoop projects and FSL/FSA are my favorite projects although I love all embroidery. I do have four Bernina machines with embroidery capabilities and have had all four of them going at the same time.

  161. This week I just started to learn the embroidery part of my machine, and today was my second purchase towards starting an embroidery project. I will love embroidering horses and then adding them to quilt blocks.

  162. I have always wanted to learn to embroider. I now have a Bernina and what better machine to learn on, its the best. I am having so much fun embroidering on my Bernina and want to learn and do more. I did not know there was so many things to do and ways to do them. WOW i love it all.

  163. I do enjoy embroidering almost anything! However, if I would have to chose one as my favorite, It would have to be embroidering towels–of any type-hand, bath, +/or finger towels and anything in between! Embroidery adds the “finishing” touch to a towel (or even a washcloth), and when personalized there is no better gift for a friend, relative or even oneself! It will always be “one of a kind”!

  164. Easy Peasy. The project I’m working on…so many patterns & designs to choose from and to be created. So many fabrics to choose from and combine….embroidery & sewing is the ultimate fulfillment of free time.

  165. One of my favorite embroideries to make on my Bernina is a pillow with a photo of my client’s home printed on fabric and then with embroidery of a frame around the photo with additional embroidery on the remaining fabric on the front of the pillow. On the back of the pillow I’ll embroider their monogram. I’ve been a Realtor for many years and these pillows have been well received.

  166. Just bought this wonderful machine so I’m anxious to start using embroidery in my quilting projects or maybe some napkins or monogram if or … the possibilities are endless Thank you Bernina

  167. My favorite embroidery project is a baby quilt I designed for our niece. It has nine squares each with a different llama. Some llamas were designs I bought, some I edited, and some I designed myself. It was a challenge, but they love it and I learned lots in the process.

  168. My grandaughter loves the little embroidery on her collars and on the yoke of her dresses and tops. Not having an embroidery machine I usuaoly do them by hand. Just think I could if I had this machine embroidery on her jeans too..

  169. I enjoy embroidering on anything I can get my hands on. I will find a design that I like, stitch it out and then use it to make something from it. I give most of my projects away to family and friends and some to charity.

  170. Right now I am embroidering alternate quilt blocks in a Christmas pieced block of the month, so it’s my current favorite. But I also love embellishing clothing. What I would love to learn tricks for is adding embroidery to jeans.

  171. My favorite projects are a toss up between making appliqued Kitchen towels and zipper bags in the hoop! Both are great gift ideas for family or friends! Monograms and other “personalized” décor can be easily added thanks for my fabulous Bernina 770!

  172. I love making my quilt labels with my embroidery machine. I use the Bernina embroidery software to design the label, then stitch it out. So much more permanent than using pigma pens.

  173. I enjoy making personalized aprons for people but right now I’m making a set of bench pillows. I’m learning so much more about my machine and looking forward to my next project.

  174. I enjoy many different embroidery projects, but my favorite is making baby quilts with embroidery designs set in with other colorful blocks for my grand children and great-grands – all different, all special for the new babes.

  175. My Bernina embroidery machine has given me great satisfaction in creativity, a respite for my soul. The many projects I have enjoyed also bring joy to the people I give the projects to … special gifts of love.

  176. Bags of all sorts are my favorite type of machine embroidery project. I love to make tote bags, gift bags, toiletry bags, and any other useful type of bag that I can make with a specific person in mind. I can add all their favorite colors, sayings, pictures, graphics and other fun embellishments to give them a thoughtful gift that will also get frequent use. It’s a win-win!

  177. That’s a hard question – it’s like asking me which one of my children I love more! It depends a lot on my mood. If I want to be a perfectionist, then I like in-the-hoop projects because they always come out better than I could do them myself. If I’m in a mood to comfort myself, then I make potholders. If I want to make my living space look cozier, then I make pillows. If I get frustrated with my free-motion-quilting learning, I’ll embroider quilt blocks. And if I just bought a design that I couldn’t resist but SHOULD have, then I’ll probably embroider on clothes to convince myself that I really DID need it 🙂

  178. I am brand new to embroidery so I’m not sure what my favorite project is. However, I did just put a design on a T-shirt and on a sweatshirt and I love them both.

  179. I love to do Free Standing Lace designs. I’ve made the entire OESD village as well as many other designs. To me my B790 was worth the cost just to be able to do these designs!
