“Festival of Leaves” Gift Basket

Receiving assignments for soon-to-be-released OESD Signature Collections is exciting.  We are given few guidelines, allowing us the freedom to be creative.  I often have to remind myself that this is work!  One of  my latest assignments was to create a home décor accessory that would be suitable for a hostess gift or wedding shower gift using the OESD “Festival of Leaves” Signature Collection #12354.  Immediately, I envisioned a gift-basket liner.  The designs included in this collection were perfect for the basket liner ruffle and they sew out quickly with minimal color changes.

The BERNINA Ruffler Attachment #86 was used in this project and is one that I have used for a number of years to create projects for crafting, home décor, and garment sewing.  It provides choices of 3 different pleat settings that create a consistent ruffle throughout the project.
