Jessica’s Wedding Dress, Part 4: First Fitting

The day arrived for the first fitting of the wedding dress. Of course I had to make the test dress pink, since her very first wedding dress was a pink satin that I made when she was five years old. Since Jessica didn’t want embroidery on her wedding dress, I decided to place some on the test dress. (Sorry the picture’s a little out of focus; I took it on my cell phone.)

BERNINA Embroidery Software to the rescue of course! I typed in “Say Yes to the Dress.” I didn’t want her to be able to read it until she looked into the mirror, so I mirror-imaged the saying. She was excited to see it and she did say “Yes!” to the dress!

Now that we know the pattern fits, it on to the big project for her big day!
