WeAllSew National Sewing Month Challenge
National Sewing Month was declared on September 21, 1982. The Proclamation stated that “Tens of millions of Americans sew at home. Their efforts demonstrate the industry, the skill and the self-reliance which are so characteristic of this Nation.” We think this sentiment is still true today for those of us who are passionate about making garments, quilts, crafts, and more for our friends and family. In celebration of National Sewing Month this September, we’re inviting you to join us for weekly fun sewing themed challenges, complete with your chance to win great prizes along the way!

I just got some of my sewing room cleaned up Though it’s small it’s packed with creativity! You can see photos of some before and after on my blog, https://quiltsmiles.blogspot.com/
My focus this month is to continue to clean up more spaces within the room as well as get some ufos, pigs and projects nudged along. Actually finished a wonder clip pocketed pincushion this am. Oh happy day!
Next I’ll be placing borders on a table topper so I can quilt it and get it done on my 440.

I have a wonderful sewing room. I’m very thankful. I try very hard for it not to be messy however it happens. A friend came one time & said it shows creativity. Needless to say I don’t worry too much bout it now. I try to keep it organized but I don’t stress about. I love sewing, quilting, embroidery & crafting. Blessed to have several Bernina machines. You can never have too many

Hi, my sewing room is a mess right now. I am still quilting, and working on some garments. I am getting packed up to move my craft room which will be better. You see I just retired from the medical field. Many years I have been sewing, in fact my first garment was a dress (first time putting in a zipper). The dress was for my cousin who didn’t have a dress so I made her one. I can’t say it was prefect but she didn’t see all my mistakes and she was so grateful. At that time I knew I could make a difference. Now that I have retired it is time to give back. My dream was to teach kids how to sew. I have always used Berninas. My first machine was a BERNINA. I bought my daughters Berninas as well. Then my house burnt down, I lost my 1130 in the fire. I loved that machine. I ended up buying a Artsta 185. Recently I went for the B880. My six year old who has never used a sewing machine made the felt heart pillow you posted last Valentines project on the 880.
I love our weal sew projects. Hopefully this new room will be done pretty soon so we can get started and start doing projects for our community. Thank you all for all the work you do to help us be creative. Cathy Peterson -
This is my birthday! I just found this site and already downloaded a pattern to make for Guild donation.
Actually, one has to be careful of looking at too many sites about quilting or you will never get any of your won work done. But it can be additive. Do like your.

My sewing room is an extra bedroom we have in our house. It is full, most of the time very messy, but it is worth a million of dollars to have it.
