BERNINA Quilt Menu
Of all the decorative stitches on my BERNINA 790 PLUS, I have the most fun with the ones on the Quilt Menu. Many of the current BERNINA models have the Quilt Menu, 13-66 stitches, depending on the model. This menu has multiple stitch options for quilters such as a straight stitch set for piecing and a range of decorative stitches for appliqué and crazy patch.
Piecing Stitches
#1324 Quilter’s Securing Stitch: Straight stitch with securing at the beginning and end of stitching.
#1326 Short Straight Stitch: 2 mm length for secure piecing, especially good for small patches.

Decorative Stitches
#1332-1344 Feather Stitch Variations, #1351, 1358-1395 and Open Decorative Stitches: Embellishment for crazy patch and other decorative work. Add decorative stitches to a plain fabric before cutting and piecing your patchwork.
Quilting Stitches
#1325 Longer Straight Stitch: This 3 mm stitch has more definition and is good for straight stitch quilting.
#1327 Stipple Stitch: Curvy, continuous line that mimics free-motion stippling.
#1328, 1347-1348, 1350 Hand-Look Quilting Stitch: Programmed to look like a hand running stitch,
#1396-1398: Curvy Line Straight Stitches: Three variations, good for a variety of quilting patterns as shown in the photo below. Click here for more information about the curvy line quilting stitches.
Appliqué Stitches
#1329 Blanket Stitch: Single blanket stitch for stitching along the edges of applique shapes.
#1330 Blanket Stitch: Double blanket stitch for stitching along the edges of applique shapes.
#1331 Hand-Look Applique Stitch: Narrow blindstitch used for invisible applique.
#1345 Blanket Stitch: Double Reverse blanket stitch for stitching along the edges of applique shapes.
#1354 Satin Stitch: Satin stitch with a 2.5 mm width for traditional applique.
